Dave Morris

Dave Morris began his career in 1984 with the gamebook Crypt of the Vampire, before teaming up with Oliver Johnson to create Dragon Warriors in 1985. Released as affordable paperbacks in regular bookshops, the game introduced players to Legend — a low-fantasy world of cobwebbed forests, haunted castles, and monsters lurking in the shadows of the night. The full game spanned six books published by Corgi between 1985 and 1986, and ranked in Arcane magazine's top 50 RPGs of all time in 1996. The game was later revived by Magnum Opus Press in 2008 and subsequently picked up by Serpent King Games, keeping Legend very much alive for new generations of players.
